Rajasthan offers you the unique sights of many endangered species of animals such as tigers as well as many exotic migratory birds. The famous wildlife parks in and around Rajasthan include-
Keoladeo National Park
The Keoladeo National park or the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is located at the border of the states of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. It is the scenic haven for a number of birds, local and migratory. The migratory birds include birds mainly from Russia, Central Asia and the Arctic region. However, this park is famous for Siberian cranes, which usually come in the month of December. You can find here several species of cormorants, egrets, pelicans, ibises, cranes, ducks, Hawks, Shanks, Warblers, Wheatears, Storks, Larks, Spoonbills and geese.
Desert National Park
This park is home to a diversity of flora ad fauna. The landscape is varied consisting of sand dunes, rocks and salt lake bottoms. You can easily spot here chinkaras, black bucks, desert fox, wolves and cats. The park is also home to avifauna. You can watch out for birds like sandgrouse, partridges, bee-eaters, larks, shrikes, tawny and steppe eagles, long legged and honey buzzards, falcons and kestrels. Ranthambore National Park
This park is very popular with tourists due to its tigers. The park apart from housing flora and fauna also has some architectural remains from the past. Some of the remains of the Park date back to the 10th century. The park has a fortress as well as many man-made lakes where you would find tigers, leopards, monkeys and peacocks relaxing by the lakeside. The park has a varied landscape. You'll come across absolutely rolling grasslands, valleys with beautiful woods, deep gorges and streams.
Sariska National Park
This is a park famous due to its tiger reserves. It is estimated that there are about 25 tigers in the park, however there is a lesser chance to spot the tigers here in the daytime as they usually come out in the night. The other creatures one can spot easily are chital, sambar, leopard, chinkara, or crocodile. The park is located in the Aravalli region hence it's surrounded by hills and valleys on the sides. The birds you can spot here are golden-backed woodpeckers, sand grouses, tree pies, peafowl, grey partridges, crested serpent eagles, vultures, quails, white-breasted kingfishers, and horned owls. Sariska also has some architectural remains from the past, like the Kankwadi Fort. This fort is situated atop a hill. The Mughal emperor Aurangzeb constructed it.
